Adrian Maria Latham is a 27-year-old native of Tuscaloosa, AL. She is the mother of two small boys and student at Troy University pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in business. She is passionate about giving back to her city and in that passion, began working for the fire department as secretary to the fire marshal.
Since becoming the second Miss Natural Hair and Health Expo beauty queen, Adrian has walked the red carpet at many local and regional events including the Sheen Magazine Legendary Weekend featuring Vivica Fox, Bronner Brothers’ 70th Anniversary Celebration Weekend, Upscale Magazine's VIP Brunch featuring Vivian Green, and the 85th birthday celebration for Ambassador Andrew Young hosted by Anthony Anderson, just to name a few. Soon, Adrian's journey will take her to international destinations, as she travels to the Bahamas as an ambassador for NHHE representing the beauty of naturalistas everywhere
Wherever Adrian goes, she works to spread the message of self-acceptance, and the importance of celebrating who you are in every aspect of your life. She emphasizes to all ages that being your natural self is the purest form of beauty, and that it is important that you embrace it. Adrian has been on her own natural hair journey for six years. Through trial and error, she has finally been able to get a grasp on what her hair “likes”, and how to truly care for it. Entering the Miss Natural Hair and Health Expo in 2016 was a big step in her journey of total self-love, and winning the title was a personal bonus. Now that she has conquered it, she sets out to help others do the same.
